“In 1994 I came across a little book that changed my heart– I knew I was made for birth, but it was many years until I changed my life.
I’ve been attending births since 2012 and has photographed over a 100 women. I am a doula, a student midwife, and most importantly a Mom of 4. I used to be an urban farmer and sewist, but birth keeps me too busy to purse that much anymore. I’m a Midwest girl who has made the South my home.
I grew up with a hobby photographer Dad and took photography for granted until it seemed like MATH. Fortunately it revealed itself to me once I gave up the fight!
The vulnerability and raw powerful reckoning of self are what I seek to capture in each birth/love story. I believe in women and their bodies and in the miracle of creation as a rite of passage.
