Announcing: Another Opportunity to Experience The Heart of Writing

The Heart of Writing lesson workshop

As photographers, we are also storytellers. No matter what style we choose to convey our visual message, there is always the interplay between our vision, our own story, our subject, our viewer, and their environment. The choices we make every step of the way all work together to result in story for those who view our images.

And so it is for the written word as well.

That’s why we’re thrilled to offer The Heart of Writing // Lesson Workshop, which will include all three of Sharon McKeeman‘s The Heart of Writing lessons, three weeks of support from her on the forum, and a fourth week where she will help students edit final projects and she will offer critiques.

We’ve taken our popular six-week course The Heart of Writing, taught once a year by Sharon and Michelle Gardella, and created a shorter, budget-friendly way to experience the tangible lesson weeks with Sharon. The six-week course includes three in-depth weekly lessons from Sharon and three weeks of writing prompts and critique with Michelle.

This more bite-sized 4 week workshop is for photographers who want inspiration and tangible tools to learn how to translate their stories into beautiful written pieces that can be confidently shared or published.

The Heart of Writing // Lesson Workshop this May covers everything from freeing your voice as a writer, learning and refining the craft of writing, editing and various means of publication.  By the end of these four weeks, Sharon’s experience in both visual and written mediums and her passion for helping others unleash the stories within will help you become a confident crafter of the written word.

Whether you want to write an About page, better blog posts, or have a written project that you have been wanting to launch but never knew where to begin, there is a place for you in this workshop.

Registration opens April 4th and class begins May 2nd.
